We have the Tasman Eco Tuscany cot. We also had 'problems' with the drop side not going up/down smoothly. We thought it was faulty. Someone came to look at it and it turns out DH didn't put a screw in each side as the last step.

It made a huge difference and now it works perfectly (and has for 2 years). Either contact Tasman Eco directly or get the baby shop that you bought it from to contact them. We found them extremely helpful and friendly. We also bought the chest of drawers, which had a crack in one of the sides when removed from the packaging. TE sent a new one out with one of their delivery guys. He carried it upstair to the babies room, unpacked it and took the packaging away with him. He was also the one to notice that DH had left out the very important screws on the cot!
Fantastic product and fantastic customer service in my experience. Just for interests sake, they have a lifetime warranty on their products so if something goes wrong at any stage they will replace it.
This was one of the selling points for me. Tasman Eco sent an agent out to see us yesterday. He said yes, the drop side had an unusual fault (nothing my husband had done so male pride intact!) and came back an hour and a half later with a replacement drop side and head end (as the faulty drop side had scratched the head end when it went up and down) and fitted it for me and checked it was all working properly.

So I am super happy with Tasman Eco's response and am very happy with the cot. The agent was really good, reassured us we'd done nothing wrong and reiterated that if we have any problems they can sort it out. So yay for that! Hi, I purchased the Tasman Siena Cot from Baby Bunting in Balwyn a few weeks ago. We got it home and found that there was a minor mark on the top of the headboard plus a tiny part on the side rail that wasn't perfectly painted. When I asked my husband if we should return it he politely rolled his eyes at me and said 'no, it's fine and noone will notice'. (seriously, in hindsight I have to agree with him but at the time I was particuarly hormonal!).

Anyway, I contacted Tasman Eco and asked if I could take it back to the store and get the two parts switched over. Their response was that they didn't want me to go to the trouble of going back to the store and instead would someone out with the parts. I thought their customer service levels couldn't get any better until I met the guy from Tasman Eco in person one day later! He looked at the cot and without question arranged for new parts for me. The point of my post is that whilst we didn't have a mechanical problem with the cot, I have never experienced such impressive customer service.
I was originally tossing up between a Boori Cot and a Tasman Eco and I'm so glad I purchased the Tasman Eco as I know that I'll always be covered. Definitely recommend this cot, it looks beautiful in our nursery!
