For fans of the 'Warriors' series (Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Warriors Orochi, Hyrule Warriors, etc.) or the 'Historical Simulation' series (Romance of The Three Kingdoms, Nobunaga's Ambition) of video games by Koei Tecmo. Share screenshots, stories, rants and raves.

Ultimate

Become a true servant of Lord Orochi. Important Links RULES. I've been grinding away on WO3U since they gave it away for xbox live.

Your best bet for guides will probably be scattered throughout gamefaqs. Additionally you probably want to focus on just one squadron of characters when you start out. Feel free to test out the characters you unlock in duel mode (it allows you to try their full moveset here without levels on the characters).

I chose to focus on Xiahou Ba (enormous sword guy) due to how early you can unlock him and how strong he is rated. Then I sought out Lu Bu to unlock. I dumped all my exp between the two inorder to get them to prestige(promotion) 4, for the stat bonuses (max speed first). Don't go into gauntlet mode without atleast a good level 80 character or a maxed 4 star or big star weapon with attributes. If you're just starting out find someone you enjoy playing and dump your exp into them while building up their weapon attributes.

My advice would be to get a normal or charge attack based character and play him through story mode. Level him while gathering Agility, Absorption, Osmosis, Slay, Bolt, Courage, and Might (replace C and M with Frenzy or Destruction depending on your playstyle) (prioritize these). I recommend you buy a big star weapon early on.

These are the expensive weapons sold all the way at the bottom. They start off weak but gain alot of bonus damage as you use it (and are endgame viable). I agree with gauntlet mode. Investing in speed with your characters is key though points and items, as finding the escape point should be your first priority. After that, it becomes risk and reward for how long you can survive. Another good investment is the item that sucks in drops from far away.

During fever the scrolls will come to you and you can focus on the carnage. I was able to grind easily actually on a DLC stage in gauntlet mode, the first one. It has the same format every time so the escape point is predictable and I'm not sure if it is bugged or what but I would get nonstop scrolls farming in there. I think the stage was free and I'd come away with my team 1-99 every time and promote. That or I'd get growth points enough to do it for me. Typically once the ball is rolling, you can level to 99, promote the whole team, and you have enough points to get them up to 40 or so again and repeat. Also worth mentioning, if you have a buff character and musou your way into mass murder for epic scrolls, SWITCH to another character before they are picked up.

The lower character can get that exp despite the other characters getting the kill. I am very sorry for generalizations here but I'm on mobile without the game in front of me.

I can get a bit more detail later if you'd like.

The Tale of the Former Day – Set before the events of the first game, it explains Orochi's origins and the crime he committed. Various new side stories for the playable cast are also included. These stories showcase characters who had few appearances in the main story arc. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4. Gauntlet Mode A new addition focusing on a five man team. Known as Unlimited Mode in Asian versions, the overall goal is to have these characters survive various trials in order to escape a multi-leveled dungeon; if a character within the players' team perishes, players may choose to wait for their natural resurrection or proceed onwards to the next level without them. Players cannot save until they have completed at least one level and difficulty gradually increases based on their progression.

Co-op within this mode has two players control two characters within a single team with the freedom to swap with a single button tap; unused members are controlled by the AI. Players may select a designated team formation for their party. Effects for this ability are reliant on the party's character and composition, but players generally gain special bonuses or techniques when these formations are activated by at least three characters in their team. Certain techniques may yield different effects when used together. 'Dragon spots' are scattered within each map, and they can either restore health, provide buffs, or warp the party to a different part of the map. Weapons, levels, and experience earned within this mode can be kept for other modes.

An option to further strengthen weaponry can be accessed via rare materials collected from treasure chests throughout the battlefield. These chests may be laden with various traps. Materials can also be earned by completing missions given by a female mystic at the main camp. This mode also contains exclusive items and weapon attributes not seen anywhere else.
