Page Tools More. The contacts that are programmed into Snake's codec aren't the only frequencies that he can call. There are other frequencies you can call for a few other things. Besides the frequency to unlock the cell door in the Groznyj Grad Torture Room (144.75 that comes towrads the end of the game) you can call all sorts of other frequencies.

There is only one way to get these frequencies though. You have to interrogate enemies to get the frequencies.

Every frequency you get from the enemies is usuable only once. All the frequencies are difficulty specific and each frequency can be interrogated out of the same guard during each play through of the game. You cannot use the frequencies without having interrogated an enemy to get it. The different frequencies are: Fire Support Request, Request to Call Off Alerts, and also Healing Radio. Snake steals the frequency from an eenmey then disposes of the enemy he just interrogated.

When it's time to use the frequency you get in the radio and use the direction buttons to get to the right frequency and hit send. When the radio is answered Snake pretends to be an enemy and asks for whatever request you radioed in. The voice on the other end will grant your request and then say 'due to protocol that frequency will no longer be used' or something to that effect and after backing out of the radio you will get whatever you requested. Requests to call off alert modes can ONLY be used during the GREEN EVASION COUNT DOWN. The healing radio frequencies will replenish health and stamina no matter how low and they only work once but you listen to the song each frequency plays as many times as you want. As soon as you put in and call the frequency it will be saved into your contacts list permanently.

All the songs are the same in each difficulty and don't change just like the frequencies are difficulty specific. The frequencies you can get from an enemy don't change and the enemy that has the frequency doesn't change during different play throughs. Each enemy has the same frequency every time you play the through the game on all difficulties.

Below is a list of the frequencies a brief explination of what the frequency does and what difficulty level you can get the frequency in. All the frequencies listed I have personally gotten during gameplay so I KNOW they work and a couple of them i have gotten more than once. Fire Support Request: This is a request for fire support in the area you call in the request. It is a barrage of artillery fire raining down from the sky.

As soon as you call it in you need to immediately run to the other side of the map or area you're in to avoid being hit with any of the artilery shells. Once you interrogate this frequency out of an enemy you can use it anywhere during the game. Hard Difficulty Frequencies: 140.36, 144.19, 142.91, 142.86, 149.12. Normal Difficulty Frequencies: 142.12, 146.74,141.31, 149.29, 147.32. Alert Call Off Request: The requests to call of alerts are kind of tricky to use because they only work during the evasion countdown. This mean you've already been spotted and had to run around without getting shot long enough to hide and stay hidden long enough for the Red Alert to countdown.

Then when you call it in the reinforcements they sent don't pull back immediately and if you don't know this then you're right back in Alert Mode and don't have another frequency to use (that's how my luck is anyway). So be cautious when using these. The frequency only works once and they don't change during each play throughs and the guard and location you get it from doesn't change.

There are a bunch of different frequencies throughout the game and if you know some I left out, please, feel free to edit this wiki and add them. These are just frequencies I have personally gotten myself. I know extreme difficulty has a few but it's a pain in the ass trying to get them without using special items or doing it undetected.

So, the ones on extreme difficulty you will need to find own your own. Easy difficulty has some also but it's already too easy as it is.

There shouldn't be any reason why you would need these frequencies on easy difficulty. If so, like i said about extreme, you'll have to get them on your own.
